From Shattering to Synthesis®

Supporting individuals and organisations navigating profound loss, trauma and systemic strain.

About Me — Amrik Panaser
For over 25 years, my work has spanned social work, frontline practice, senior leadership and doctoral research. I have worked across complex systems where human suffering, resilience and institutional responsibility intersect.
Then, on Christmas Day 2016, my partner died by suicide. My world shattered. In the years that followed, I found myself searching for meaning and orientation far beyond the professional frameworks I had known. I floated in the Dead Sea, unable to sink, unable to heal. I walked the Via Dolorosa, finding no solace. This was the descent.
Healing came slowly.
On the mountainsides of the Himalayas, I climbed to 18,500 feet—learning, step by brutal step, how to rebuild a self from nothing. That journey revealed something no textbook had prepared me for.You do not get over profound loss.
You integrate it.
You allow it to reshape your understanding of life, leadership and systems.
You find synthesis.
Panasure is built on that understanding—my name woven with assurance and safety.
Today I bring together decades of professional expertise and lived experience to support individuals, leaders and institutions facing rupture. My work spans consultancy, training, facilitation and reflective dialogue, supporting professionals and organisations working in emotionally demanding environments.Alongside my practice, I also contribute to the next generation of practitioners as a part-time lecturer on a Social Work MSc programme, bringing lived experience and practical insight into academic learning.I also occasionally undertake pro bono work for local organisations and community initiatives, supporting where the work is needed most.
I understand the terrain of loss.
I understand the path back toward integration.
Through Panasure, I guide individuals and partner with organisations to embed trauma-informed, grief-literate practices that strengthen people, teams and systems. From shattering to synthesis, you do not walk alone.

The Panasure Practice

25+ Years in Social Work & Systems Leadership

My professional journey spans over two decades across the UK, including frontline social work in Glasgow and Edinburgh and senior leadership roles within children’s services and youth justice in Oxfordshire and Cumbria.Across these roles, I worked at the intersection of policy, practice and leadership—supporting teams navigating complex human realities including trauma, systemic stress and institutional change.Over time, one insight became clear:
Real transformation only occurs when organisations are able to acknowledge rupture and create space for reflection and integration.

Strategic Collaboration with Alasdair Cant & Associates

Since 2019, I have worked closely with Alasdair Cant & Associates, designing and delivering consultancy, training and learning programmes across more than 20 local authorities. Our work focuses on helping organisations develop practical capabilities in areas such as:• Motivational Interviewing
• Cross-cultural coaching
• Trauma-informed practice
• Reflective leadership and team dialogue
These programmes are designed not simply as training, but as practical interventions that support lasting change in leadership, culture and professional practice.

Deep 1:1 Practice

Alongside organisational work, I maintain a dedicated one-to-one practice, currently supporting 14+ clients each week through both in-person and virtual sessions. My work often supports people navigating:
• Bereavement and grief
• Suicide loss
• Domestic abuse
• Racism and identity trauma
• Anxiety and systemic stress
• Complex professional and personal transitions
Each conversation is a step in helping someone move from rupture toward integration.

Programme Design & Implementation

A central part of my work involves designing programmes that create lasting impact. This includes:
• Developing learning frameworks
• Designing course content
• Facilitating reflective dialogue
• Creating implementation strategies that embed learning into everyday practice
The aim is not simply insight, but sustainable cultural change within organisations.

Teaching & Professional Development

Alongside my consultancy and practice work, I also contribute to professional education as a part-time lecturer on a Social Work MSc programme.Teaching allows me to bring together practice experience, reflective dialogue and academic frameworks, supporting postgraduate students preparing to work in complex and emotionally demanding professional environments.

Grounded in Lived Experience

Every conversation I facilitate- whether with an individual, a team, or an entire organisation- is informed by both professional expertise and lived experience.Panasure offers work that is:
• Professionally rigorous
• Emotionally intelligent
• Deeply human
I have walked the path from shattering to synthesis.I know that a way forward exists.
And I walk alongside others as they find their own.
